The business after the war was so good in these categories that there were instances where crowds of people would literally sit on top of their refrigerator and wait until the salesperson could come and write up the order for their purchase.
On one particular day, they sold an entire truck load of new sewing machines. Once again, people waited next to their box until they could be waited on and pay for the sewing machine.
Marion “June” Miller and his wife Eulala, worked for the Tennyson’s for many years and June also managed the store for a number of years before he went to work for the State of Missouri. Eulala stayed on and eventually the Millers took over the furniture store after the Tennyson’s left the business.
June and Eulala kept the name the same and encouraged their son Dan to come manage the business in 1989. Dan has been there ever since and the furniture store continues to furnish generations of homes in the central Missouri area.
The variety of furniture is extensive and the styles continue to change, but one thing remains the same; you will always find that Dan and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and will help you find the right furniture for your home.
